Central-/high tone unit

A Sonutrion central-/high tone unit consists of the four substantial modules: Horn corpus, drive unit, back chamber and stand element. Central and high tone range are covered by one driver. This kind of horn loudspeaker is called broadband horn loudspeaker.

The shape of the horn corpus is a three-dimensional rotation of a propagation curve of an acoustic wave. The double-walled glass fiber corpus supports and protects the uneffected propagation of an acoustic wave.

As drive units in the current series drivers with barium ferrite or Alnico magnets are used. They are suitable optimally for broadband horn loudspeakers.

The back chamber is bolted on the horn corpus and protects the drive unit. The connection for the amplifier are at the back chamber.

The weight of the central/high tone units of approx. 22 kg rests on a stand element made of high-grade steel. Since it is a tripod-stand, the inclination can be adjusted.
